Yard clearance

Do you take:

 

broken rakes

chain oil drums

plastic 2 stroke bottles

coke cans

worn out chains

disgarded chainsaw parts

pallets

oily rags

old engines etc.

 

If so, I know a few people who could do with their yards tidied. A good sweep and ironicaly, a bit of a go with the strimmer wouldn't hurt too.

The Dids always cleared mine of the metal stuff. Sometimes without even asking them!

I just stack up the Conifer, the 'not so' poplar, willow etc. stuff I dont want for log and they will come and take it free of charge. They want it for chip for the biomass power stations. They will take chip too if you can store 27 tonnes on hard standing and it is clean, not contaminated. They will pay for chip, £5-6 a tonne.

Why bother? i would rather give the wood away to local people as free firewood, and as for the chip price......simply aint worth the hassle at that price. i give that away to the local horse place aswell.

in the last 6 months and i have probably felled more tree's in htis time at any other point in running my own buisness, ihave kept half a load of willow...... every one is hunting for fire wood ,even the three leylandiis i took down on monday tues wich would of been about 3 transit loads of timber were taken by log hungry neighbours!

 

When i started out it scared me how fast my log pile was growing now i dont even have one! i would seriously look and research further before taking on such an idea as tree surgery waste clearance in this climate... any fire wod is like gold dust and i can get £8 per tonn for wood chip for biomass power staitions.......

£5-6/tonne!!! Boomeco pay double that for tree surgery waste, at 28m3 a time.
