Was told all there wood is from Boltic and its been hit hard by covid. But there stock netting comes from Australia or Mexico didn't ask if they were in the same.

A year ago they were saying it was the big sawmills running with reduced staff due to physical distancing etc. Then the demand went through the roof.

A lot of places are out of stock, and when it does come in it's going up in price, and they can't tell you by how much!

Bit of a convoluted story but a few months ago had someone order fence materials, pack of posts, netting etc. I was busy with other things, and after a good 4-6 weeks I chased it up, the supplier said they had been waiting on the posts which had just come in.

I think the order paperwork went missing, another few weeks chased them up again and they got the pack of 165 posts out that day (a monday). The driver said that was the last pack in the yard. The date printed on the label from the sawmill was the friday before.

So over just a few days, a batch had left the sawmill (you assume a decent amount ie a wagon load), gone to the fencing suppliers, then immediately sold out!!

Was wire last year as well, was told today they had 58 roll of ht 8/80/15 by 100m ordered to go straight out when they turn up and 20 other rolls of something else.

I work all times of day, so the post earlier but had people to ring and emails to send, just been and made a brew and now about to start 3-4hrs of homework for a DEFRA project, then got a big birthday bash tomorrow with Jelly n custard cant wait,,,
