Here's a quick way to split wood without bending over all the time

This is common sense, hardly a 'free hack' as the clip header suggests. Contain the wood, it stays where it is and you don't have to pick it up from several feet away. Personally I find having a chopping block at mid-thigh height more user friendly, and don't mind the added exercise of bending and stretching a bit to pick the logs up. It's horses for courses with most manual tasks like this.

Fair enough. I have wood in volume and its spread out over a wide area after cutting/ bucking so instead of having a stationary tire screwed to wood, I'll roll the tire to where I need and throw it over the big blocks (up to 75 cm) because they're too heavy to lift into a tire on top of wood. It all depends on your setup and wood diameter.

You still have a lot of bending and picking up to do
I came up with this solution some time ago before I built a processor.

For a small splitter that certainly moves fast. Plus I do love a machine that utilises a good pair of mole grips.
Im assuming slightly more bending is involved when the crate is empty.

My wife collects the last logs from the bottom, she is more flexible!  Actually a Stihl Pickaroon is the answer.

The Mole grips were for the camera

I see the sound is hugely non synched with the picture, how do you cure this?  It certainly was ok when I put it up but has become progressively worse.
