Cheers, I'll start looking for an engine?

I've more than had my money's worth out of my chipper but the engine has let it down by being really unreliable recently.  I dont use it much, which is part of the problem,  so I've been thinking of getting shot but I think I'll look properly into this.

Especially with a 50% power upgrade!

Really what you need to do is if your engine is still running now is measure the RPM of the drum now and again once you've fitted a new engine. Going for the same size pulley is a starting point, but if the new engine revs 500rpm more than the old engine the machine might fancy self destructing...

CS 100 blades are £90 each at retail for reference.

Cs100 blades are very similar in size and shape to mine just holes are different, mine are approximately £12 each and I’ve had the heavy duty blades from a certain supplier for £90 each, same same ?

M500 blades are £225+vat for genuine. They are 500mm long though.

It’ll cost you a phone call to find out but I’m sure you’ll get a big saving , see post above

Is that a proper business that's turning them out? As for £12 the cost of materials, machinery and the guys time he cannot make any money.

Or is it more of a cash in hand, beer tokens for an employed guy?

They don’t accept cash ? , I get my stump grinder teeth from him , half the price of northern arb for same thing, with the chipper blades he’ll want you to order a few setts to make it worthwhile
