  1. Thanks for the reply, the 130 dose have extra features but is £1500 more than the tw160
  2. Advice please, I have a gravity fed 20hp chipper that will eat large chunks of wet conifers or anything else but obviously no feed rollers,I’ve been approved finance on a new tw160 or GreenMech 130,will these machines pull in chunks of privet hedge? Conifer and hawthorn hedging with minimal chopping up? I’m not interested in feeding 5-6in poles threw it , more interested in what they will handle and not handle brash wise,I’ve watched most reviews on YouTube of the guys feeding twigs through them an seem to find myself shouting at them ,they walk up to the chipper with a arm full of branches an then feed them one at a time, my machine will handle a good pile of brash in one go if can fit down the hopper . Thanks
  3. Did mine at 60 as no one seems to no the correct torque, done a days chipping with no problems, we’ll see how easy they are to get out before I’m 100% happy
  4. The manufacturer of the drum said no recommend torque just as tight as pos and use thread lock,I’ve had this chipper 4-5 years now and just recently lost a bolt while on full power which smashed the blades, killed the drum, and made a mess of some of the casing around the drum so new drum new bolts and was going to try a different way of securing the blades as the way the manufacturer advised failed big time
  5. Thread lock is what two manufacturers have told me to use, my small chipper is a 20hp beast which is now running on a Titan beaver blade drum,Titan have told me thread lock is a must, rock machinery also state the same
  6. Did you use any thread lock? I always have used it but been reading that it’s not needed
  7. Anyone no the correct torque for blade bolts on a rock machinery- Titan beaver type chipper and also thread lock, use or not use ? Thanks
  8. I just called in at scrap yard an got the bit that plugs in the belt , leave it in the passenger one next to drivers an click it in when in off road, fields, farm tracks ,tip site

  10. They don’t accept cash ? , I get my stump grinder teeth from him , half the price of northern arb for same thing, with the chipper blades he’ll want you to order a few setts to make it worthwhile
  11. M500 blades are £225+vat for genuine. They are 500mm long though. It’ll cost you a phone call to find out but I’m sure you’ll get a big saving , see post above
  12. You need to speak to Glyn and he’ll probably need an old blade and the angles Machine Parts for Forestry, Recycling & Quarrying | QRMS Ltd QRMSLIMITED.COM Are you looking for machinery spare parts for industrial forestry, recycling, quarrying or plant hire equipment... Also get my stump grinder teeth from him
  13. Cs100 blades are very similar in size and shape to mine just holes are different, mine are approximately £12 each and I’ve had the heavy duty blades from a certain supplier for £90 each, same same ?
  14. I’ve got a 15 plate single cab transit tipper, had it a year now been great, had it re mapped , pulls like a train, little heavy with ally arb body 2.6 with me in it an no tools, also had springs up rated as standard are crap
  15. It’s no secret ?, an I’m sure he’d be happy of the extra work, what are you paying for blades, mine are very similar size to cs100 blades an cheap as chips, he’ll also do the larger Chipper blades ?
  16. I had a loncin vtwin engine on it after the 13hp one packed up , didn’t last long so thought I’ll get a new Honda engine for it, cost nearly as much as the chipper ? but well worth it, it really is a beast now and would throw chip over the top of my truck,If you’ve got a use for a small chipper you’ll not regret it ?
  17. Just had To get a pulley for the engine, ordered one that looked the same size as on the 13hp engine with twin belt groves, same battery, same belts as original, only problem I had was it kept smashing blades but that’s sorted now,the price I pay for blades i don’t bother having them re sharpened .
  18. Yeah, was a roller trailer, main problem was getting the right quality blades to take the extra hp,also has extended shoot for chipping into truck
  19. My first post but been reading this for a long time, thought you might like to see my beast , it started life as a rock machinery 13hp thing, it’s been a 20hp for probably two years now ?
