I can honestly say that your experience does not match mine having fed a CS100 for around 350hrs.

Don't get me wrong, mine will gobble through it like nobodys business, its putting too much through the chute at once it doesnt like. With other species it doesn't seem to mind as much, but with the conifers it seems to block easier.

Yep exactly my experience with the M500. The conifer flies through the drum so fast there's too much volume trying to come out of the chute and it blocks unless you grab hold of the branch to slow things down.

In effect, you become the "no stress" device! A demo with a CS100 is epic if there is Conifer to be done, it really is quite impressive!

Just joined the Wee Chipper Club with the Hyundai 100mm chipper.  Done a bit of Hawthorn hedge, Poplar, a Larch tree and a few evergreen shrubs with no problems so far, only thing is the narrow wheelbase makes it a little unstable, I have rolled it twice,  first time on tarmac?, made an bit of a mess of the paint but no other damage, seems well made.

I recently got a Hyundai 100mm too.
It’s a good machine.
My one gripe is that it pulls the last bit of the branch through whole without chipping it. Some species worse than others of course, it eats Leylandii, but with willow for example it can be a good 18” or more.
Could this be the gap on blades or is it just symptomatic of drum chippers?
Thanks

Can't say I've had that with my Hyundai, could well be the blade gap.

Where did the last couple of posters buy there Hyundai's from and where do you plan on buying spares from?

I have had to buy some parts for my Hyundai's recently and its been a pain in the backside!! Its taken several phone calls, and the throttle cable, pull cords and handbrake cables are still not here!

Not trying to be a gloom and doom merchant, just a heads up- when you think you'll need something, get your order in asap!

I got mine from Radmore and Tucker, did spend a bit of time looking into the importer, Powergen, they are a fairly big co with good financials and have most of the spares on their site.  For the cost I throught it was worth a punt as a Leading brand option was over 4 times the cost, I don't rely on it to provide me with an income - if I did I would go for a main brand with 1st class backup.

Well it’s good to hear that it’s possible to not have that. My thoughts would be gap too big....would you agree? I don’t really see how I can hold on to every bit I chip to slow it down.

I bought mine from Abbey Garden Sales in Tavistock. Didn’t know Radmore sold them at that time as I’m closer to Exeter than Tavistock. But I wanted a local dealer at least to be able hassle is something went wrong! They did say that they had had some supply issues but if it came to it they would take parts off a model for sale and sort me out and wait themselves for the parts so that sold me.

I don’t use mine all that much but I’ve paid it off already so it can sit there and not cause me any worries.
