Finally got to use a wee chipper. I will say a) it's just fun throwing a little twig in and watch it vanish fast! B) light as we had a surface clay that stopped all my machines getting to the site. C) actually really good we did 4t in 3 hours today. ImageUploadedByArbtalk1450286625.780826.jpg.fa2d394d86e413afd45bb81ec4d7dc2a.jpg

That's not a wee chipper, that's a proper one 😉 I miss the one I had, was nice to be able to move it about one handed and on straight stuff was faster than a hydraulic one

I'm looking for a decent review of the Gts1300 could anyone help? I've looked through the forum and although I hear the occasional comment on it there's nothing with any depth.

Hi , I have run my GTS 1300 for over year now and have battered it with no problems, there is a knack to using these machines ie they Hate bitty dry dead brittle conifer but love green Conifer piss wet through, has they rely on velocity rather then wind you have control the feed has to not choke it up but havin said that they will chomp away at any other wood .

I can post a few pics later of some large jobs it has done .

They are very heavy so you wont be lifting out of van either ramps a must also they have 2 reversible blades which are easily sourced but £160 .

I used a GTS1300 the other week, I would say it made no impression on me whatsoever, it neither astounded nor disappointed me. It wouldn't take much more than 6cm in diameter, but it was a hire machine which are famously crap.

Does what it says on the tin, and for a decent price.
