Fresh welder... What to get?

I'm wanting to get a fresh welder as have a few bits and bobs I want to get sorted. I can get done with a friend but always best to have your own.

Currently run a 161 turbo mig welder and it isn't a bad thing to be fair.

I want something so I can weld some new loader brackets onto my current attachments so thick metal.

Don't want silly money in one nor do I want a huge beast to store.... 200-230amp mig or just a stick welder? I know nothing of stick welders but hear they are good for thicker stuff.

Many thanks Chris

Got a 240 SIP mig here, 25 yrs old about as big as you can go on single phase. Not a bad machine.

Just been gas weldng lead sheet for the roof, now thats fun and challenging to learn, have not gas welded since the 90's

Just looked at rtec 250a inverter and only said 9mm metal not sure what I expected to be honest

That's with 1 pass if you are welding loader bracket on should multi pass weld any way.

My brother has a sip 160amp runs on 13amp plug great little machine can set it up and weld plate together and it looks like its been Tig welded.

I bought a Jasic 200 synergic earlier this year, 5yr warranty, 240v supply but you sill need a good size supply cable though Chris. I put a 3 core 6mm armoured cable in my garage for this reason, and to run my log splitter.

If the consumer unit has a spare slot go 10mm armoured cable
