Mine landed with no issues all the way from the very far south to the north west, if it did have issues then it would of been a simple phone call and a send back/return at their expense, thats why they have courier insurance or why you pay for courier insurance. Factor your round trip in to the price of the saw, fuel, time, insurance, risk, day off work, driving makes you tired for the day after if your not used to it etc makes it a dear saw in my eyes. Use the courier service, its what its there for!

Until it gets lost....

Love how this has turned into another stihl v husky debate. There are many on here who mill with other makes of saw including cheap Chinese ones with good results, maybe not 4ft wide but smaller scale. I personally have a makita 9010 with 28inch bar for the small bits of milling I do, and it works well for me.

It’s all possible with enough patience.
Any pro 90cc saw is more than capable.
With a skip chain you could easily run a 42/48” bar on the makita.

It’s insured by the sender. It’s not your problem til you sign for it.

Whilst that's true I would rather go and pick it up, especially if they give me a good deal. I don't want to mess people around who are realistically doing me a favor
