they sound good, remind me of a big V8 bumbling away on tickover, be good to link the throttles!!!!

 

Whats the big thing with old Dolmar chainsaws? sorry not been funny just asking, it's just an old chainsaw, are the collectors items or something, or are they just real good old saws.

The Dolmar 166 is a cult saw and many will pay a lot more for one that for an 090. I have one which is a bugger because people find out and phone you from Germany offering crazy money. Other big Dolmars seem to do well too; the 153, 143 and 133 particularly. They have character. The big ol Dols also have incredible torque; bear in mind that a 166 maxes out at 8000 rpm and still cuts like billio!
