I'm late to the post but exactly the same, change to coil. I spent good money with two dealers who were happy to write it off as it was out of warranty, despite stupidly low hours, but I had the benefit of a mates identical saw who was happy for me to swap parts over to 'QED'... the coil. It run far better on good fuel now like Shell or Aspen I might add. Good luck, have patience.

I will raise you your " old Dynamac " and offer a used stunt scooter and some chocolate covered Brazil nuts my Gran had in a cupboard ....

Is that the ones she sucked the chocolate off  but left the rest because they got in her teeth ? I'm not falling for that one again.?

Cee, as I sit here with the smell of 2 cycle permeating the cold December air in my kitchen with wife glaring at me as I have my 435 dismantled on or kitchen table for the 5th time in a week and a sore arm from pulling on the damn thing after putting in the new carburetor I must say thank you for taking the time to write this question almost verbatim as I was just about to write this exact same thing all the way down to the sledgehammer my friend. I have read only the first of 9 pages of responses so I am hoping that the wisdom and answers I seek are somewhere hiding withing this forum. If not then I will go back to my Stihl and bury this in a shallow grave.

Huskys are 'OK' I guess :)

At least now I know this one like the back of my hand so should be able to maintain it for a long time.

and they make lovely pets till they start crapping on your carpet ..

oh sorry wrong husky .

or is it ? to star my husky 560 i pull on the starter cord till it burps then put the choke in next pull its off running .

now my other husky you pat its head then pull his tail till he barks pat his head again then i bet next pull of that tail hes off and running too.
