Just a thought, I got 2x tile crates from our neighbour that held his paving slabs which would hold approximately the same as an IBC very solid and would have been binned otherwise.

A possible solution?20250330_145525.thumb.jpg.c92aeb7bac1c0b0cac8ad7d2cb7a3bad.jpg

I have one at home here and it's nothing like a cube; I couldn't move one that held that much.  Thx anyway

No I use them, they're less than a bulk bag so I reckon only actually half a cube.  And yes probably wouldn't last very long if moving them a lot

Ta daaaah!  Found a guy 40 miles away with two different entries on the Bay; asked him how many he actually had and picked up six today.

I don't want the bottles but finding cages alone.... well it's difficult enough to make me start a thread on the subject.

In the highly unlikely event that anyone has a use for six bottles with working caps and taps then fill your boots; they're in west Kent on top of the North Downs.

Cut the tops off and screw them to a wooden pallet. Add air holes if for logs. Cut them down to whatever height. I have some knee high crates for running tools around in. Easy to reach into.

Will they last forever? No. Will they last long enough to be worth the twenty screws and twenty minutes? Only you can answer that but let's presuppose yes.

When you cut them, make sure to do it somewhere outside of the environment so as not to pollute it with plastic swarf.
