Now that's a useful suggestion that I'd never thought of through ignorance.  There are a couple of large estates nearby so thanks for that.

There's not as much farming as there should be in the area due to bloody horses but that's another topic that gets my ears steaming ?

Renting paddocks out to the horsey set gives a much greater return than putting a crop on the same amount of land. I bet you are livid now?

Yeah I get that eggs; that's why it happens sadly.  However it ruins the land through overstocking, compaction, bugger all weed management and it takes potentially good land out of production, reducing the opportunity for conservation land etc.

Am I being Genghis Khan enough about hobby horses?!  I know some owners and they're lovely people mostly ?  No double standards there...

I can usually get good used once ibcs pretty cheap, its the transport that kills it.  I take barrel out, cut it diagonally and use as a pitched roof for my log cages.  If anyone wants any located just off A19 near thirsk north yorks.

Big bump.  BUMP!

Does anyone know of anywhere in the south of the country (e.g. Dorset is only 4 hours away) that I could get 6-8 IBC cages?

Please...?!

Thanks in advance,

Jon

try searching 'IBC tank' on ebay, then use sort 'nearest first'

at the moment there are some in Southsea

Also on gumtree

Edit - sorry I thought you meant for rainwater

Just a thought, I got 2x tile crates from our neighbour that held his paving slabs which would hold approximately the same as an IBC very solid and would have been binned otherwise.

A possible solution?20250330_145525.thumb.jpg.c92aeb7bac1c0b0cac8ad7d2cb7a3bad.jpg

They work great for static storage, but wouldn't take as much of a beating as an IBC cage if moving around with forks a lot.

I use these a lot:
