Importing Stihl MS 880 from Canada??

It's a 660 I have too, too early to tell, I've cut a few big rings (no more gay jokes please) with the 880, seems an animal to cut with the 404. 

When I get to milling with it I'll post my progress. I'm expecting an improvement in speed on stuff the 660 could have handled anyway, but it was bought for the few bits that were too big for anything else.

Could be a while before I get it set up as were blowing the alaskan budget on a respray for the camper at the moment.

You only using an alaskan type mill then of have you a logosol farmers/m8 type to ?

Woodmizer. Lt15. Have a love hate relationship with it. Doesnt help that I often find myself maxing it out on bigger logs.

Thanks for your posts.  I have decided to manage with my 660 which is more than heavy enough to carry up very steep banks !!!!   

Off Topic.    Bank so steep I have found it slightly easier to throw a long rope down to the winch, hook the rope on to the  winch cable and lug wire rope up,by standing still and just heaving rope up the hill  !!!  

The winch cable pulley attached to the bottom of a standing  tree trunk has been a great piece of kit to stop lengths of wood running away, and sliding down hill and getting wedged behind standing trees!!!!

Just spoke to them and they are receiving a fresh batch of MS880’s end of the month. £1635 inc vat with a 48” bar, so £250 cheaper than the ebay advert with a bigger bar. Obviously if you spec the smaller bar then its cheaper again!

God these prices. I've got one tucked at away at my dealer for £1250 with a 36" bar. He's got another one too.
