Blimey, I add a bit of detail to make a point and look what happens.

Just to keep you in the picture, no, I don't take 10's of thousands of VAT per quarter, but do per year. Sorry for not making that as clear as you'd like.

I've explained what I do on this forum before, it probably wouldn't be difficult to find.

Mmmmmmm, some call it detail, some call it BS....

You clearly and unequivocally said you have tens of thousands of £s worth of VAT awaiting forward payment per ¼ to play with as you like.

I'm calling 🦣💩

60k spend would give you ONE ten thousand to play with.

You reckon you've got "tens of thousands" so you must be spending 1, 2, 3+ times 60k per ¼ from your garden shed...

I can't believe I'm bothering with this, but if I was deliberately bullshitting you, why would I then clarify that I actually take a lot less than it may have seemed when you asked?

Spend has nothing to do with anything. It’s the incoming vat that you effectively have to play with for 3 months at a time

People complain about not wanting to be an unpaid tax collector, but what's not to like? The Vat man asks me to add 20% to my invoices and give it to him. He asks me to send it to him once a quarter, up to 4 months and a week after I've been given it. He doesn't care what I do with the money whilst I have it, as long as he gets it on time. I have 10s of thousands of pounds to play with however I like. On top of that, I can take off any VAT I've paid before I sent it.

The only person who loses out with VAT is the poor sap right at the end of the line who's not registered, and can't claim it back. It's a tax for consumers and end users, not businesses. If you are a business and are not registered, you are a mug, and are playing at business, whilst paying tax as a consumer.

I didn't "ask", you stated.

I called you out on it because it's horse shite which you seem to have now acknowledged.

Sorry, I didn't realise someone with a massive chip on their shoulder was going to pick through it to try to make themselves feel better. You can see as well as anyone else that what I wrote was ambiguous, you read it one way, I read it the other. The point I made is still valid, and you got to try to pretent to be clever for a few minutes; everyone's a winner.

That's just a matter of credibility.
