Drones are amazing pieces of kit, and you need some practice and skill to fly them. I got a small one which has decimated the house plants, scared seven shades out the the cats and I still dare not take it outside for fear of losing it! Good luck to him!

Friend of mine has had one a couple of years now and it's still in the box with batteries that have never been charged, cost a few hundred quid as well from an exhibition at NEC.

I bought a mavic Air drone last year before a trip to iceland, easy to fly and the pictures and video is ace quality. Used it to inspect a few trees so far and good for before and after pics on bigger jobs too

He did a bit of time-lapse. He just set it up and it hovered for half an hour on its own, set a bit low, was his first go.
