Climbing for Laylandii topping

Hi there,

Been taking down a number of well overgrown laylandii in this estate, been pole climbing up them (removing branches/twigs as I go) to get to the top of them up till now. Client wants me to top a number of them, they’re about 18m and he wants topping at around 9m, how would I get up there without removing all the lower branches. Ladder maybe then secure on?

Cheers J

climb up the inside if its not littered up with bramble. Ladder to 20ft can help if resting safe and not going to snap out foliage you want to keep. I prefer goggles to mesh visor, seems less chance of something getting under.

200k worth of mechanised kit would trim those tops if theres access

Easy as that [emoji1303]

Seriously though as Ian said if you don't know what your doing accepting some help and instruction would be a good idea as it'll help you long-term to be able to do these things yourself in the future.
