We have got to do what we got to do as everyone’s situation is different and our individual mindset is different i starting working for myself many years ago cause I didn’t like being told what to do especially by people who didn’t know what the fuck they were doing...I still dont like being told what to do and i’am not going to like being told I can’t go out my house and to stay in or else...even though it’s the correct thing to do.

Must have been in my class in school then,All bloody trouble makers were in there ?

I posted a comment on here a couple of weeks ago in relation to lock down and if the self employed people in this country be it one man band or big set up will be getting any financial help during these unprecedented times and it seemed no one really knew how it was going to pan out apart from may be applying for universal credit?

2 weeks later things have moved on and the government are doing all they can to help in the financial sense(for PAYE) but i’am still in the dark as to what he has put into place for self employed,Granted i’am not the brightest candle in the church and there are far more intelligent people who post on here then me so has anyone got a clue or idea what is is place for us?i would like to Strees I think our Government has a god forsaken task at the moment and doing all they can but some of there ideas are well over the top in my opinion shutting all pubs, clubs, restaurants etc is I think a step to far.

Your going to get these same dumbass people who have been stockpiling toilet rolls, pasta and striping the shelves of food going out and stocking up on booze now, some people are complete knobheads and the government hasn’t helped this situation and I know there are damned if they do and double damned if they don’t,it’s just a personal view that some things should just be left alone and let the people decide if they want to go to the pub or for a meal.

Up usual time this morning 5am quick read online and to see any updates I’d self employed will be getting any help and it seems the chancellor and his team may be putting a plan together to pay 80% of our wages averaged out over the last 3 years if this is the case fair play to the government for all they are trying to do and at least 80% will hopefully be enough for all of us to keep our heads above water,no news how long for though so see what they say, like to know what labour and that corbyn would have come up with to help.so glad that we will never know.

80% based on 3 years books will be a life saver for a lot of us, but how they work it if you've recently started or been running a loss are more unanswered questions. I don't know what sector in our industry won't be affected except perhaps utility work. Private work will slow down once peoples jobs become uncertain and then stop spending, so its irrelevant if you comeinto contact with the customer or not. I'm doing my bit by reverting to posting out my invoices so people have something to wipe their arse on!

Yep many equations for the government to consider but may be base payment on £12’500 which is what you can roughly earn before you pay tax..I don’t know as i’am sure the government have there number crunchers doing over time right now but be sure of one thing what will be good for one won’t be good for another.

Just got off the phone to hmrc.
Nothing for SE.
I've heard the 80% rumour.
Still a rumour.
Just spoke to my insurance people. It's business as usual.
I said if nothing has changed by tomorrow I'll have to cancel all my insurance policies.

Hang fire. They seem to be warming to socialist principles. They may yet cover the SE and those on zero hour contracts etc. See what our illustrious leader and his carers come up with today.
