My back garden is full of small wild bees at the moment . All going about their business    .

Okay so you say small wild bees? Are you talking bumble? Honey or a host of others?

These details are important to know. ?

Looks like you got a good size garden by the looks of them photos.

Honey bees? What hive have you got then?

Yeah, three and a half acres roughly. Less the veggies and yard but still a good 2 acres of garden slowly coming together.

Dark irish honeybees in national hives, double walled so warmer in winter and cooler in summer

very nice. I managed to safely get a swarm of bees into a nuc and then a hive last May and they have been happily going about their business since then. A friend bought a second colony for me in a nuc, with the lockdown the farm are having a few issues with getting them out but expected by 17 April so I will be up and running with a second hive this summer. Have yet to get into taking any honey, might just leave them bee... ha ha, sorry bad joke.

One of my favourites, brighten up any garden

Its been quite quiet round here on the Kestrel front, I am wondering if they are all mating at the moment. A fair few buzzards about though. Beautiful birds.

Nice. last year happened to "bee" a bad year..  one swarm led to losing a hive completely, another split hive failed to produce a queen,  partially down to my own mismanagement. I took no honey last year and hope to be able take a surplus this year without having to resort to feeding sugar syrup all winter.

Very relieved to see them out again and bringing in a decent amount. It's been a long winter for them.
