Walnut butt

So we have all seen the ‘very valuable black walnut tree ‘ cartoon so tomorrow I will be in that cartoon in real life , I met a retired woodworker the other day and after chatting I said I would drop some off cuts in for him to try and help him get back doing something as he isn’t well ,so he points me over the fence into a neighbors garden and there is an ok walnut butt so dropped my card in , so one of the first things the matey says to me is how much is it worth, I am going to have a good look in the morning I will take some photos but what to offer .

And measure it then you can work out volume and therefore value.

I was thinking about taking my iPad with the cartoon on it to show the matey

Because that's probably what it's worth.

I regularly get told....

Hi sorted the Walnut sorry no photos yet it was blowing quite a bit and still is going to loose a roofing sheet from our toilet building

Yeah, don't get sucked in to wanting the walnut so much and then paying over the odds. My guess is that the customer will be surprised that it is worth so little. Good luck mate

some owners seem so convinced it is worth a lot of money that they refuse all offers and leave it until it is worthless !!!?
