Not as your primary attachement for the saw though? It’s not strong enough.

Got my chainsaw trousers patched by Patagonia  when they were offering a promotional service to repair any "outdoor clothing" for free for 2 days at some local event. ?

 

Hole wasn't that bad though but the did a really good job.

It will, and does all day on a Caritool.

 

You'd want it backed up, obviously.

I was using the grey one because it was easier to clip the biner through.

 

I rarely stow the saw, just slide the lanyard through my fingers after a cut and move around with it loose.

 (I know, just never got into the habit)

 

Anyway one day I was sliding it through as usual and the grey loop broke and down it went.

Luckily it speared into some wet earth, no damage.

Great saw, very poky, Mark 1s were a bit fragile though.
