Stalking

I am getting too old for pulling these large reds around. I can get help most days but not today. Farmer loaded red hind into the trailer for me but gralloching from the wheelchair is getting harder. All done before 7pm and shower.  Anyone use a hoist from the tow ball? Any other advice?

The FC stalkers around me have a small electric winch attached to the bulkhead in the back of their Ford Rangers and an aluminium ramp to slide the carcass up into the back. Only dealing with Roe/Fallow round here mind but it would easily pull in a Red.

Friend of mine has winch and roller /plate set up on his agrocat. He uses it for hoisting reds up on to it will try get couple pics

I have a 12v winch in the barn somewhere. Been meaning to fit it to my trailer for a while. I was thinking more about something that would hoist it whilst I am doing a gralloch. I have just loots at the David Stretton hoist and that looks fab

I have an A frame set up on my Argo, I'd guess designed for lifting reds in. Was on it when I bought it.

Have to admit I've just man handled any in, not that I deal with many reds.

With a trailer ucould just have the a frame against front of trailer and then winch it upright, I'd have the deer on a 2nd pulley so u can lower itby hand easily

Similar idea to the Stretton one, I think. They also do one designed for SUVs with a normal tailgate, I think.

I use a smallish trailer behind the quad , the quad itself has a simple boat type hand winch and we have the same in the barn for preparing carcasses.

Small trailer towed behind a quad or jimny. Portable 12v winch to hoist for gralloching or to pull deer into trailer. Lower directly into trailer once gralloched. ?
