Change 550 for mkii

Hi all, I'm thinking of changing the my 550 for a new mkii version. 

How do you all rate them? 

I know some of the mk1 gave niggly problems but mine was and is trouble free but fancy the newer and supposedly better version.

Excellent saw, can’t fault mine, and it has had some thrashing.

Why change if your mk1 is good,i got two mk1s and had no trouble at all

I’ve got a Mk2, and have had a Mk1 previously. The new model is a beast! Performs way above its expected level. I run an 18 inch bar on mine, and it still rips it like a real one!

That's what I'm wondering. Is the upgrade worth the expense. My own 550 is exceptionally clean and runs like new

If its the one in the picture, it looks very tidy

Mark 2 550 is a lovely saw I have one definitely better than the mark 1

I replaced my faultless (till it died!) original 560 with a 550xpg mk2 and love it.

So light and nimble running a 15”, reliable, easy starting and power to spare.

I’d keep your mk1 as well though, sounds like a good ‘un.
