Should a referendum on Scottish independence only include people living in Scotland?

Im really not sure why you think we're in a minority in Scotland? For one Johnsond and I have differing views on Scottish Independence. 

 

Anyway, below is a map of how the Scottish counties voted regarding the last Indi Referendum. The Counties in Green voted to leave, the ones in red remain. So Johnsond is clearly not in the minority in his opinion of wanting Scotland to remain in the Union is he?

 

And below that you'll see the results of the 2015 and the 2017 General Election results in Scotland. in 2015 the SNP held a huge majority, but by 2017 that was decimated and the Tories taking up a huge number of seats. Labour and the Lib Dems mopping up the remainder. Where this Trend to continue the SNP are all but finished in the 2019 elections. So lets leave this one till the 13th and we'll see who is in the minority then. But going by the maps below you really have been hitting the bottle hard tonight if you think we're vastly in the minority with our view points.

I suspect that's precisely why he will not vote for socialism.

Like a lot of us, he's no doubt lived through it and knows it takes generations to repair the damage.

 

The only people who benefit from socialism are the cabal that control it and rich virtue signalers. They get the warm fuzzy from pretending to give a fuck while using their wealth to get themselves the hell away from the fallout zone. Everyone else disappears into the black hole of lost chances and wasted lives.

Ruth Davison was a great asset to the pro union cause. She spoke more sense and truth than any politician in Scotland. I do fear her absence will make a difference, in Scotland right now  it has turned into an indyref 2 prequel rather than a general election. The SNP are like many parties that rely on human emotions ie envy, resentment, anger to win votes and are  very good at banging one drum loudly. They utilise what borders on pure propaganda very well. Mull is way off the mark to say I’m coming round. Far from it, In its current format the SNP would be the last party on this earth I’d want to live under in an independent state. First minister, justice mister and finance minister are some of the angriest bitter nippy faced buggers I’ve ever seen. 

Do your day job well, prove you can run the country well then come back !!!

Assuming the "personal reasons" were just a cover story, it's a great shame Davison allowed her personal dislike of Boris Johnson and her refusal to accept the Brexit result to obscure the bigger picture.

Democracy always throws up results you don't like, but Johnson was elected leader democratically and Brexit was a national decision made with a clear democratic mandate. You have to accept what democracy gives you and work with it, not throw your toys out of the pram. Whether you like him or the leave result, Johnson's election to the Tory leadership is not remotely equivalent to the hard left annexation of the Labour party by Corbyn/McDonnel and the extreme Momentum faction.

She should have stayed, argued her case and stayed in the debate. Flouncing is just a gift for your opponents and leaves Scottish conservatives abandoned.

Sure but Johnson is also a pretty poor excuse of a human. Had she stayed in the party in spite of her personal and very understandable dislike of him she would've just been lacking in moral fibre. Respect to her...

Agreed. 

 

I like Ruth Davidson. She represents a sensible, moderate Conservatism that is almost extinct amongst the current flock of Tory front benchers. I reckon that the combination of being part of a party that she felt no longer represented her and the fact she has a young son meant that her heart was no longer in it. Once that drive and passion was gone, she was entirely justifable in her decision to stand down.
