Been trying to get a new double cab transit lately as everyone we have had so far has been a money pit so looking to peel the plastic of a new one and live in Warranty bliss.

Cant get a a sensible price, ford dealer didn’t want to give a price after much hassle got one for around £30k

internet and people in pub talk of prices closer to £22k

are ford trying to rob me?

what have people paid

If what I was told is true they are nothing but agro, major problem with injectors so engines are now on back order. The hire company who brought my hire truck to me last week after a 2 month old ranger fried  it’s battery said they got loads of new transits parked up that don’t run.

Enjoying the move to ford!!

We have a 2017 Transit Custom. Done 50k now and its been great. We had one issue where water was running down the inside of the drivers door, along the wiring loom and rotted it out. First we knew was the drivers window stopped working. Covered by warranty though.

We bought it from Pearce Bros near Bristol. They are a contract hire company and always selling nearly new vans on. Have a look on their website.

Apparently very difficult to get going after changing fuel filter

Not usually a problem if you fill the filter up to the brim with fresh diesel. (don't pour the diesel out the old filter to the new one either ?)

Not what I was told. But I stand corrected, I will stick to land rovers.

I had a new (in 2015) custom panel van. 30k so far and not a single issue (touch wood.)

Granted, it’s low miles, minimal towing but it’s the dogs balls to drive - for a van.

Ive heard (but not experienced) this potential issue with injectors.

I’d give it 4 & ¾ out of 5.
