For Husky, Stihl, etc.... Is the chainsaw future battery powered?

Hey guys,

I’m student and currently writing my master thesis about the future development of chainsaws and trends in forestry.

And I need you as regular users of chainsaws to help me with it!

Since my personal knowledge about this topic is limited, I am conducting a survey to identify what’s important for you working with a chainsaw and how you see the future.

Of course the survey is anonymous.

Link to the survey: https://www.umfrageonline.com/s/f4abc53

I’m very happy about any participant! Thanks a lot for your help!

Just put in " battery powered tractor " Amazon . You can have a John Deer , a Massey , a Ford New Holland , a Case , a Fendt etc etc , whatever takes your fancy ?

@scbk impressive. I dont doubt they have application. But our latest rake of Stihl battery gear is a joke. Forestry aint changing for hippies. And as we the ones tree planting and timber converting then replanting. We are the ones actually greening this planet the most. Our product is carbon neutral for most part. Unlike the private motor car industry. K

I’m actually very impressed with my battery stihl 160. Just dismantled a row of 30 6ft wide, 10ft high previously topped Leylandi today and first battery lasted 3/4 way down the line, second till all the trunks were clean and over half were chogged into 3ft lumps. Then the 391 came out to finish them.

granted batteries won’t replace petrol in the bigger saws, but they certainly have their place!
