Its all a bit of a juggling act really, if possible its better to trade on someone's strengths while  accommodating their foibles and throw in a few mind games to turn them around. I certainly wouldn't allow a situation like this to upset me.

It bothered me cos we worked together for 2 years and I like the chap. It's a shame but he as I've explained, I paid him his market value and he wouldn't increase his market value to justify paying him more so we were at an impasse. 

 

But it's done now. So, onward!

Not really mate. Biz as usual. Using subbies. Good ones so far. 

 

His brother in law is coming back full time next spring also so he's happy not to have to work with him as it was a concern. 

 

All worked out perfect except having to pay him all his holiday unexpectedly.

Must be my age.... losing patience with this attitude more n more. Day was , I would have lept at a chance in Arb Climbing , dunno wts up wiv yoof of tday :(
