Check coil isnt loose mate, might just need tightening up :001_cool:

check all the wires i have found with older huskys that they can crack and earth out..had that prob on the 288 and wasted time and money replacing the coil.

right, think i just didn't connect the HT lead when i checked if the plug was sparking because it is now, but still won't start. any other ideas?

If you put the plug back in and give it a good few pulls then whip the plug out is it wet?

 

If not then you have a fuel starvation problem.

 

Start at the filter in the tank and work your way to the carb looking for blockages and splits in hose, filters and plastics.

 

If no prob found then sounds like a carb prob.

cool,i'll have a look in the morning, after i put the plug back in then tried to start it, i took the plug out and it was a little wet but not much. i could just be me starting it like a moron....
