I used to work for someone who had a heavy duty chain welded to the draw bar on the chipper and then a padlock on the other end which was obviously locked to the van on the tow bar. It was just the right length  long enough so it could be locked on full time whilst towing and had enough slack for turning and reversing it at tight angles.

Good tack of weld on bolt will make there efforts slower.

I thought 'Yes but then I wouldn't be able to undo it when I want to'

Like I've ever taken the towball off any vehicle in 20 years.

I'll get the welder.

Those Oxford chains are very good Dan, and I like the idea, but the 160 has a T-pole chassis rather than an A-frame.

 

There is nothing beefy enough to link the chain through on the chipper without having a stupidly long chain.
