Yep . True . but what has caused the right hand plug to blacken and carbon up . Oil getting by the rings on that cylinder may be ?

I would like think if oil is getting by the rings the plug would be oily?

Just trying to figure why its only one cylinder . Its a single carb I presume ?

That's what's thrown me. Yep, single carb. Oil changed every 50 hours, plugs, oil and filter every 100 hours, both roughly.

Few other posable things on top of a bad plug giving poor combustion causing the carbon in 1 of the 2 cylinders with a shared carb twin.

Valve guides ...

Sump breather....

Ignition module...

Just a thought. What is it on? Some grinders always work with the engine tipped frontwards. While within the capabilities of the oil pump, it may have an effect?

Different trade, Pete. It's on my Drain jetting machine.
