sometimes its best to agree to disagree...arguing over individuals ethics gets us nowhere, its been done to death in the past. we all do something somewhere down the line that doesnt go well with someone elses sets of morals.....best just to concentrate on yourself.....the info is out there for people to find and choose their own path.

Why do we even bother discussuing these issues in the bad pruning thread.

 

You say on your website:

 

All operatives are fully trained, qualified and insured to work in a curteous manner. Estimates are free of charge and we will advise on any tree issues you may have.

 

....and you are seriously saying that you would mutilate a perfectly healthy tree just to earn a living.

I think some of us have been part of these huge arguments in the past, and now treat the whole thing with a touch of humour.

But ill never trust my ropes and that keeps me so aware of what im doing im in no false sense of security in a tree ropes can break and they do.

 

I've seen plenty of broken branches but never seen anyone break their climbing rope - you overweight or something?

 

I've seen climbers not using their ropes properly before, just clinging to the tree for dear life, looks like they don't know what they're doing.

If every job you went to look at the customer wanted something doing that you thought would ruin the tree, how long would you keep turning work down? Surely there would come a time when you just had to earn some cash?:wave:
