I think to sell it with a clear conscience I would have to fit new axle / hubs.

As a towing trainer I can hardly claim that I did not know it was illegal.

Indeed, I also had those pesky conscience laden thoughts, but in which case I might as well keep it!

Buy a new one.

I have a buy a new one every three years policy.

Buy it new, work it hard for three years, sell for about 10-20% less than you paid for it and replace. I think it's the cheapest way to own a trailer, as no major bits are likely to fail and second-hand trailers hold their value in a way that defies logic.

I agree with all of that- although put off buying new trailers cos the last new one got nicked whereas the older ifor sitting next to it wasn’t- thieves are attracted to shiny stuff it seems

Mine didn't stay shiny for long, what with being dragged around fields and down nutty little lanes.

If you’ve got the room and don’t need the money I’d buy a more suitable modern one second hand and keep both, trailers are like buckets you can never have enough when you need them.

This is true.... i’ve looked at swapping my trailer but then for a trade in value you may aswell keep and just purchase a new one anyway.... its always there. Once paid for its done. Cheap maintenance etc

in my case it would be keep the plant trailer and buy a flat bed or tipping trailer
