Most original objection to tree felling/work?

What's the most original or unusual reason you've come across for objecting to tree work from a member of the public?

I'll start us off.

We're working on behalf of the National Trust at the moment, widening rides by removing the (mostly) oak that are adjacent to them. This is so as to improve the habitat for butterflies.

An elderly lady living a stone's throw from the woodland is concerned that the felling will result in all of the butterflies leaving her garden in favour of the woodland.

Felling dead Elms on a headland . All sticks covered in ivy . Woman from the parish council objected saying they are perfectly healthy. Look at all the green leaves .

I can't stand ivy.

There is an argument that it's good habitat, but you can always guarantee that after a thinning it's the ivy-clad trees that blow as they catch the wind during winter. Plus they are a complete PITA to sned and forward out.
