I used to get every cold the kids had. Now if they start snotting I take a zinc pill and an echanasia ( sorry about the spelling ). I dont like popping pills but I think one a week this time of year is worth doing. Lay off the meat and eat fresh veg, an apple and orange a day. As soon as you drink alcohol it kills any vit c in your system so if you drink in the evening have a healthy meal at lunch time. Wash your hands regular in public places, avoid offices become a hermit. Works for me

Before you go to bed at night, try good old Vick, a dollop in a mixing bowl, add boiling water, head under a towel and spend 15 minutes breathing in the vapour, works wonders, :thumbup1:

 

Tis true,works well at clearing congestion,and clearing the head,try to keep your eyes closed otherwise they will stream with tears!:thumbup1:

Get back to work ya big jessie, five mins up a tree and you'll have forgotten all about it.:001_tt2:

 

Oh and if you smoke...give up. I used to get a couple of colds a year and since I stopped i have had 1 in 4 years:001_smile:

 

See my response to work ethic in bobs comment. Five mins up a tree would be dangerous - I'm not a climber!! These days I'm the fat controller on the ground, par for the course in getting ill perhaps! Occasional cigar - and I mean occasional; a handful of churchills a year.

Yoga seems to keep your body healthy (works for me) - keeps all the blood flowing to the right places. Got to find the right person teaching it though...

 

But you have to be prepared to leave pride and ego at the door as you enter the class...

 

It's the one of the least macho things you can do. :blushing::laugh1:
