p.s. can't imagine 2 year old HC was an easy mill. Tough as old boots I imagine.  ike some old maple I tried and gave up on.

Yes it was harder going than anticipated, so much tension as you can see from that picture was a right pain in the arse.

I’ll be strapping these bad boys on Saturday and getting them painted

Has everyone given up milling wood?

very quiet in here of late 💁‍♂️
felled this big 49” silver Maple this morning, looking forward to getting it back to the yard.

anyone with experience of this timber?

American boys seem to love it !

You tell me[emoji848]. Got a fair collection building up!
Need to go on a woodworking/furnture course..
Might make something nice for new build house.. got some oaks slabs drying for dining table..

Maybe make some walnut veneers to dress my Landy dash[emoji6]

Nice boards ,so I have been Chainsaw milling some Walnut this weekend and its so pale compared to yours I will post some photos tomorrow ,its defo over 50yrs old as my mate has lived next door for that long its so pale its mad
