Today's milling

some ash and syc milled recently, some nice pieces in it, plenty more to go too.

 thinking it might be worth making a solar kiln, anyone done this? I can sell dry timber all day long, less interest in green stuff. It's a long wait for a return when air drying...

also a few big spruce, all for 6x3s. Made a few raised beds out of them.

Ready to mill. Bit scary, as you only get chance.. 600x600mm at narrow end. 3880mm long. Having a go with an 076 and 36" bar on chilaskan
4" slabs..

Nice looking log, should get some  nice clean slabs from that.

Was hard get out and up the bank. Had to drop, unwind, and winch up a few times[emoji6]. Once on yard,lifted one side at a time and pressure washed. Then tidied ends up. This was all easy...

Made a start today. Well pleased[emoji106] Must remember to wear goggles next time.
Fair cut at 3.9m long and 65cm wide. 076 runs out of juice 2/3 in but choggs through it nicely. Few more to cut and stack[emoji6]

Heavy aint they and looks like you have milled around 4" thick ?
