Days Milling for a local Chainsaw Carver maxing out the mill. The new Log Turner earned its keep by easily flipping the logs over.

First log was a 24” Walnut, unfortunately it was rotten and had Shake. sad.png IMG_9666.thumb.jpg.443dbb266620c96af03ed9503982f231.jpgIMG_9667.thumb.jpg.45f0f596afa708ab4e67e85528e0a1eb.jpgIMG_9666.thumb.jpg.843f9ad14f3e487d16f161a2a6596823.jpg

Today started with more robinia,
Followed this afternoon with a nice 6’x2’ oak with a nice little surprise inside.
As usual my go to set up: stihl 880 and the 60” panther mill for general slabbing.

Just some small oak slabs from the weekend - 69” at widest point. Decided not to bother with the second power head (often get issues with chain tension when running both) but I prefer it to a helper handle for balance and the fact it’ll still oil

I have the same problem, that or they un-stack a nice neat stack just to get to the bottom boards and then leave me to re-stack!?
