I don't know if he's a liar but you need a lot more info about what kind of wear and over what kind of period it is occurring and what he qualifies as "lots of machines" Anything that is getting used for the job these saws are designed for is going to wear some parts.

Could conceivably see it happening if you were running it a piece of Chinese crap that has to run at 25:1 ?.

Or they are machines that have been run on pump fuel for a long time and recently switched to Aspen . ( rubber component degradation causing air leaks )  The petrol has degraded the rubber , Not the aspen .

Just Says fully sinful&pethetic @ 2%

lol.

2%  is 50:1 Would be interested to know if it’s on all machines or just m-tronic and if it’s stihl and or husky

husky require a different spec oil (higher)

Look on page 2 of the msds

Is it not recommended to use aspen on older tools which been run on standard 2-stroke? Is there a recommended procedure for performing a switch?

Change out the rubber components that have been attacked by the petrol .  Aspen wont harm them from then on .

Anyone know which lubricant oil is in aspen2?

A mechanic recently told me he was seeing lots of machines with piston wear after using aspen2.

Is this lies?

I don't know why this mechanic would say that, it is certainly not an issue that we have seen and over 50 million litres of Aspen is sold each year so plenty of testing!

The oil in Aspen 2 is not available separately and is of a quality which exceeds anything on the market for 2 stroke power tools. It is fully synthetic and bio-degradable with a low Ash content and High lubricity.

If you would be able to send me a pm with the name of the dealer, i can investigate further as to whats going on to cause him to say what he did

Thanks Aspen,
He doesn't sell aspen, which is probably why he was lying.
