Dunno - clearly metal in gob cut ( he has ragged chain now ) so perseveres an ain't even cutting straight with said ragged chain, to back cut proply-looses patience an hacks til it goes. I would have been just as fucking fuming as him. K

Maybe (hopefully) the guy was having a laugh regarding the pass/fail question.

 

 

First of all I would look at the location of the tree in reference to what looks like a boundary hedgerow along side a road, it being an Oak and therefore being there for a considerable time, I would assume there had been stock fence nailed to it at some point, probably would show evidence on the bark, either way, I would cut above standard stock fence height, metal in the tree or not, the person cutting hasn’t a sodding clue.

your right there Khriss bought 15 Rotatech chains last week for this job as i knew there would be half a roll of stock fence in each tree,, been there many a time,,,

I was wondering about the black bits, thought maybe he'd singed it by having the dull bar in one place for too long. If it's staining from metal fixings though, they were really deeply embedded.

If there’s Victorian cast iron fencing in there you won’t be finishing the cut....ever.
