Hello,

Does the hive mind know the approx weights of a modern alloy sided tipping unit such as mounted on factory spec tippers?

Also typical weights of full alloy arb bodie

I'm sure I've asked this before but damned if I remember the responses.

Many thanks

  Stuart

I seem to recall (with rubbish memory) the 'average' 3.5 ton tipper set up for tree work has a payload of about 800 kg. That depends on millions of variables.

The conclusion of most people seems to be 'well mine must be lighter than that otherwise I'd be overloaded most days'. AND it only matters when VOSA show an interest. Hmmm

That sounds about right to me.  Mount a tool box on and you can probably drop that to around 500kg

My single cab transit with full arb body (Ali sides/roof, steel bed) weighs 2650 empty with me in it

Yes this is the same as our 09 transit with similar arb body was, when it finally got pulled with 5 tonne gross driver was fined £600.
