Is it ever going to stop raining?

I keep an eye on weather in Germany and Sweden and it's almost always better - particularly Germany. Less wind, fewer days with precipitation, less cloud and higher temperatures at this time of year. They do get some mad weather though, like the lightening strikes at the music festival earlier in summer than hospitalised people.

The price of living in a country with no extremely bad weather is that we rarely get good weather!

It's hardly rained up here in the North East and right now it's looking like it's going to be a lovely day!

Nice picture Paul

Don't think it's been that bad down here either. We had a lovely period in May/June when the south west was the only part of country having good weather and it's been T shirt weather for months apart from the odd rainy day. 136mm of rain in the last 30days according to my rain gauge which seems pretty normal. Admittedly there have not been many completely dry days but the locals have successful made hay.

Come on TCD cheer up it's not that bad unless you are wanting long hot summers like we had in the 70s and 80s :thumbup1:

And so...

Last winter was the wettest, dullest on record blah blah blah...

Now it's almost mid July and it should be beautiful... With the exception of perhaps 21 days dry and bright since said winter, it remains simply horrendous.

It's 9th July, waxing moon (generally higher pressure) and it's damp, misty - just like January.

So utterly sick of it. So depressing.

What made you re-boot this thread from 2009...?

Ty
