Which topper??

Hi, I’ve been a lifelong stIhl fan, but I’ve recently been looking at the echo 360TES as I’ve heard some people say some good things.

has anyone got any pros and cons regarding this?

I’ve got a201 tcm and an echo 360tes, I never use the echo, (that said, the 2511 is great). Less power and a bit bulky

I think the 360 cuts a bit better than the 201 but I still prefer the Stihl.  Feels better in the hand and seems more robust

360 is great so far......saying that since i got a 2511 no other toppers are getting a look in

360 doesn't scream like 200 does but seems to cut well and has been reliable. On a big dismantle I'll probably pick up the 200, but would also be quite happy with the 360 if it's all i had....if I lost them both and had to replace the 360 would probably get bought as I got it for alot less new than a new 201

Topper - isn't that a term originating from the 70's.

 

Years ago when I did my Tech. Cert. with Treelife,  Dave said it made him cringe when he heard the terms topping and trees used in the same sentence and I recall there was a round of applause. 

 

Things have progressed and I think the alarm bells sound with most Arboriculturist's when they hear or see the words 'Topping' !

Isn't it " topper " coz its a top handle ?

Smaller fuel and oil caps, exhaust around plastic gets brittle oil filter blocks easy but you can dismantle it and clean. Find it a good saw for the money
