Looks like some bark missing on left hand side.  Pre or post work who knows. Hardly any folliage there. 

 

Maybe last chance salloon to see if  it flushes or someones tried to get it to naturally re trench. 

 

Could have had significant die back also before works?

Mick, obviously the tree had grown too big and therefore dangerous, so had to be 'reduced'. Don't you know nuffin bout trees? :001_tt2:

Seriously though it’s as boring as hell, load of virtue signally by peeps trying to think of new ways of describing how bad it is and tagging others with “did you do this?”
