I have resurfaced .

Had problems with getting on here , I only have a mobile and it played up for a while.

Up against a wall to trap heat can add a zone or two in that microclimate.

 

Pleaching refers to 2- or 3-dimensional (and often involves branches grafting); espaliering is 2; both defined as types of topiary, in some texts.

Hi Steve...wondering if you planted up that wall back in 2018? Id be interested as I have just planted up some espaliers along my fence line....be great to hear how you got on with it all

The RHS book on tree pruning and training is really good for fruit trees and how to prune espalier. Takes you through all the steps from root stock selection through to how to prune it. You can pick it up for under a £10 but it has tonnes of info in
