Resisted so far but if we had been around in the evening a bit more this last week it would have been lit as it's been 17 degrees C in our living room when I've got home from work!

 

We seem to have the stove lit most days from September until start of May. So only 4 months of the year it's not on. Bloody crazy!

One a side note, bought 50 bags of kindling today, local to me. What's the average weight of a bag if you want to sell for a fiver a piece? These are approx 3.5-4kg. Not very consistent  looking I must say, but bone dry.

I try not to light the fire or turn the heating on before October. But our house is cold and my wife complains. Still, that keeps her warm.
