..Yoo vil buy ze saws, mien herr !! Nope, far too many bits in Stihl compared to Husqy,  an I have stripped enuff down. Dunno wot the term is, but manufacturing machines that have a plethora of model-only parts might boost yr turn over but a nightmare for buyer who cannot use older redundant saws for repairs on later saws. K

I do get you...but then If you still stick with re-building and repairing old saws ...you'd still be running stuff without chain brakes, AV or electronic ignition.

There has to be progress and in some cases regress (Yes we've done something wrong/doesn't work/isprone to failure) or where would we be?
