Jeez, not exactly falling over themselves to sell me this saw....  WOP refuse to price match....fairly sure from the tone the web team operative didnt realise I'd ordered 2 months ago and knew i had another month at least to wait...depite me quoting the order reference in the email title.

Fastfix seem to have completely ignored my question via the website contact form...I'll have to ring them tomorrow.   So £550 saw and neither seem to want to actually do much to sell it is the feel i get.

I was overwhelmed with joy to return from holiday to find my 7900 returned to me. Thankfully it hadn't been nicked despite having just been left out by the courier. Eagerly I opened it up to discover what the important safety mod was....

That's right. They seem to have replaced the handle, pop riveted a label onto it. And sent a cracked handle back to me.

Fuck off makita

Can I take from this you aren't very pleased Bill??

That's shoddy.

Can't believe they would have packed it  for shipping like that.  You sure the courier wasn't playing football with it.  Either way it doesn't look like the Makita plastic passes the impact test.  I can understand your frustration.

Ha thats a disgrace really taking the piss,  so the extra riveted panel with sticky label with safety info has  knackered the whole handle...

Was that plastic bit riveted on suppose to make it stronger oe sometinh I just don't get why the did that?

It was in fairness very well wrapped up so it was either broken before wrapped or broke without me noticing on my first snap on and off of the brake. Either way pretty disappointing.

It does also look like they have replaced some of the mechanism. Not the brake band.

I do hope I will not have to wait another 5 weeks20180806_215741.jpeg

I have absolutely no idea what the riveted panel is all about?
