"Mechanical tip mechanism is operated by the excavators bucket."

Does that mean you have to push it over to empty it? Technical!

watch the video rupe, it is just a big lever you knock with the bucket, the operator os really good, he makes the whole thing look easy. I would love a chip version of this when i get my tracked chipper, and i plan to make a dumpy bag holder for my tracked barrow so i can tow gloria about to. One day!:001_smile:

It’s all very well BUT all the time the digger is moving the spoil in the trailer it is not digging, levelling, etc and effectively making the job last longer vs. employing another driver on a hired wheeled/tracked dumper which can move faster and can probably carry more spoil per trip.

I reckon you would be better off with something like this steve, for all the above reasons, plus those mini diggers are painfullly slow, and an older Bobcat is really slow and the damage it will cause to a lawn trying to push a loaded barrow .....http://www.hirestation.co.uk/images/110060NA.jpg:001_smile:

I reckon it's a really great concept but perhaps a bit limited in some ways as has been said above i.e if you can get your tipper truck up to digger you could load that, or hire in a dumper for £60-00 a day.

But still a great idea..... depends how far you have to push the soil or whatever after digging it I suppose..

To me thats the crux of the whole thing. If you only had to push the barrow a few metres then great, over pretty solid ground, but any more than that and you are essentially on down time. If i have a digger i want it digging all the time its on site:001_smile:
