Here goes;

Mounting brackets for ladders on top or side to stop them sliding forward.

Nice one Ian, worth bearing in mind:thumbup1:

looks like a bag of **** pete.

Can you make me one?

Recon you could buy this one Ed, I think Jonny already started the bidding:001_tt2:

Are you going to tip the toolbox as well?

I only ask as it will be extra weight in front of the ram which is not need should you accidently load it too full with chip!

I also intended to build the back of mine completely square like yours but half way through realised that its wasted space and also should you want to load logs/rings into the back and you are standing on the very back you will have to be bending and minding your head all the time!!!!!

The toolbox is on the tipper David but i think if its got say three saws, two sets of kit, fuel, hand tools and cleaning gear it will still weigh less than 1.5cube of chips(the space its taken up)

The bar at the back supporting the rear pillars is removable and adjustable in height, so i was hoping it would be a bonus not a pain!

I made the sides square as it was easier fabricate in the "quick" chipbox, also will have a full height rear door(more space for the sign writing)

Did you weigh it before you started building the box? Always interestign to see what they weigh before and after a self build project.

The builder i got it from told me it was 2200kg empty. Building out of steel is not the best i know, but i am hoping this is not an expensive conversion, and getting rid of all that wet ply must have helped a bit:001_huh:

when it said the words "quick and LDV" i thought you were takin the phiss.

 Wait till it gets 1800kgs of chipper behind it, then we'll see how "quick" it is!

2200kgs is about right for a steel tipper. You would have saved some takign the original steel sides off. Mine was 2020kgs with the tipper on and tool box, before I started on the chip box. Interestign to see what it come out as but I would recomend you do the same as me and not weigh it!

1800kgs chipper!!!!!! "sorry I'm late" will be your new catchphrase!.

Pete, Have any of your neighbours complained about you opening up an unlicensed welding / fabricating company in your front drive yet??? haha

I've had that one !

That neighbour was a bum, one of those "you've stolen 2" of my land !" type people.

The bloke from the council came up and asked me if I had a business running from home, I explained I had a workshop for my own use and showed him round.

He was very impressed with the tidiness of the workshop (dad used to keep it clean back then) and commented on it was the tidiest property he has ever visited, he normally visits sites with scrap cars in the garden etc etc.

He said to me whilst nodding his head and pen poised to tick the correct box, "you are a model engineer aren't you !?"

It took a few seconds to sink in but I replied, "Eeerm..oh yes ...I am"

"..and you only use your workshop for you own use and for no financial gain"

"Yes!" I replied firmly..

"Then I apologise for wasting your time sir, I have better things to do with my time than trying to score points for some disgruntled neighbour"

He shook my hand, wished me good day and thats the last I ever saw of them
