Hi all

I bought a Sugi pro lam bar for my 200t about a year ago and on Friday the tip died.

Over the course of the year I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve had to clean out the oil hole on the bar and so I reckon it just gave up from a chronic lack of oil.

I switched over from a Rollomatic bar that I can remember how many times it stopped oiling in 3 years - zero!

Now back on rollomatic again and running fine today.

Just wondering if anyone else has similar issues with these bars. And if bars like these come with a warranty or not?

Cheers!

If it came from Rob D speak to him about it, if not speak to your supplier, they should be your first port of call

If the hole is in the same place as other bars and it's covered during use how is it getting blocked ? It must be something in your oil.

Had same trouble with sugi bar on my 540, nose sprocket split with little use. I don't abuse my bars and I do greese the tip. Back on husky bar and no probs. Have good experience with the bigger sugi bars though

Interesting....

Back in the day I greased the Husky ( Cadbury ) bars and sprocket noses used to explode periodically . I thought that the grease attracted grit in dirty conditions and it acted like a grinding paste . I stopped greasing them and it never happened again . A few years ago I changed all my bars to Sugi light wight pro bars and have never had a problem but use is now infrequent as I am 65 !
